English National Opera is one of the world’s most innovative and accessible opera companies with an international reputation for distinctive, contemporary and highly theatrical productions. ENO are committed to creating new audiences for opera through English language performances which are affordable and accessible to everyone.
In 2012, ENO launched a new audience expansion scheme to attract a younger audience to an art form that many considered too posh, stuffy, and expensive.
Opera Undressed, the resulting audience development scheme, aims to introduce newcomers to English National Opera by demystifying the opera-going experience in a fun and informal setting.
For a specially-reduced price, visitors are treated to the best seats in the house, attend a pre-performance talk about the production, read an outline of the opera’s story in advance, get a free cocktail at a post-show party with the cast and company, and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the London Coliseum.
And what better ice-breaker to the post-show party than a go in a Blue Steel Booth? We have had the pleasure of serving as ENO’s go-to photo booth company to create a fun and memorable experience for their Opera Undressed patrons. Our custom ENO booth has welcomed opera veterans and novice’s alike in a friendly, engaging way since the launch of the scheme – and we continue to look forward to the future performances! Our custom prints leave guests with a fun souvenir, and a cherished memory that lasts long after the final bow.
