Amazing London Venues

By Gavin Lawrence

Although we are happy to travel far and wide for our clients, we’ve also had the pleasure to getting to know some fabulous hot spots right in our own back yard. This week, we thought we might give credit where credit is due and recognize a few of our favourite London venues. So whether you’re looking for a trendy lounge to host your next product launch, a stunning backdrop to this year’s corporate ball, or an intimate space for your big day… check out our list of amazing venues for all your event needs in 2014.

MUSEUM OF LONDON

Museum of London

Not just an amazing resource for conservation and education, the Museum of London is also a stunning venue for special occasions of all sizes.

“The Museum of London tells the incredible story of the world’s greatest city and its people. Through its immersive galleries, visitors are taken on a journey exploring London’s history from prehistoric times to the present day.”

Corporate Venue Hire

The Museum of London provides the ideal setting for all events because of its diversity and flexibility. Not only can it cater for a dinner party of 350 guests, it can also play host for a drinks reception up to 1,000 and accommodate a board meeting for 12. We had an amazing time in the Sackler Hall this December for a number of Christmas parties, mesmerized by the 360 degree digital ellipse which displays twinkling night lights…!

Wedding Venue Hire

The Museum of London is very happy to announce it is now licensed to hold civil ceremonies. Couples can exchange vows in the tranquil Garden Room or the 18th century Pleasure Gardens (surrounded by some amazing exhibitions, recreating the fashion and trends of the time – for those with a sartorial flair). They also have a fantastic range of options for wedding breakfast and evening parties from 10 to 350 guests. We had the pleasure of popping along to their wedding launch, and can speak from experience when we say their food and drink are absolutely superb (it’s not weird when the cater waiters know you by name at the end of the event, is it?).

APRES

Central London’s hidden gem! Apres is a premiere cocktail bar and late night lounge located just off Oxford Street and minutes from Bond Street Station. You can enjoy your night in style, in eith their outdoor terrace, boutique cocktail bar, or VIP areas. Apres caters to both private and corporate events – live music events, product launches, conferences, photo shoots, wedding receptions, Christmas parties, etc.

DISCO

DISCO

DISCO’s mission is to celebrate the music, the culture and the diversity of the unique disco movement – in all its many forms and over its many decades. Their epic dance floor is a key fixture to this members club. DISCO is very proud to only use vinyl spinning DJs every night – just how it used to be back in 1970s Manhattan. But don’t let all the glamour and the funk deceive you – DISCO is a fun venue for all ages. We most recently visited this dancer’s utopia for a children’s birthday party. Pretty groovy!

THE HIDEAWAY

Hideaway

Why not take a short step outside of the busy city-centre to London’s new favourite live music and comedy club, Hideaway.

“Located minutes from 3 train stations and 12 bus lines in Streatham in the heart of South London, HIDEAWAY never fails to deliver a great show with the top class of performing artists in the United Kingdom today.”

Since it’s opening in 2010, Hideaway has amazed music fans with the variety of performances and extraordinary hospitality – as evident by the 2012 Parliamentary Live Music Venue of the Year award on their mantle. Impressive stuff!

For your weekend events, their comedy room is the perfect host for private parties of 100-120 people. They even help you choose a mouth-watering menu and advise on all aspects of planning your party. So why play host to your own party this year? Let Hideaway give you a night of celebration, free from stress, and leave you and your guests with wonderful memories of a special evening (perhaps with a photo booth to capture those special moment? *cough, cough*).

PEMBROKE LODGE

Pembroke Lodge

Before 1754, Pembroke Lodge served as a modest cottage of one room, occupied by a molecatcher whose sole duty was to reduce the danger presented to huntsmen by molehills… talk about making a mountain-of-a-wedding-venue from a molehill! (Yeah, we went there…)

“Pembroke Lodge is situated at the highest point in Richmond Park, with spectacular views over the Thames Valley to the west. Richmond Park is the largest, and to many, the most beautiful Park in London as it comprises of 2300 acres of totally unspoilt classic English parkland with some 650 deer who roam freely in this tranquil setting.”

Pembroke Lodge is a magnificent, listed Georgian Mansion that has been lovingly restored to host charming tearooms and romantic facilities for weddings; set within 11 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds which are planted all year round. We love to take calls from newly-betrothed couples who are getting married at the lodge – it’s such a treat to revisit time and time again.
